Esther was the daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Leibelt. She grew up in Golden Valley. At the age of 17 she met and married Rolland Denowh. They moved to Fairview, Mont. where they worked a farm. They later divorced and Esther married Ruie Anderson in 1968 in Idaho Falls, ID. She was survived by her son; two daughters; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister.
